Senior Development Engineer

Key purpose:

The incumbent is required to focus on the development and support of all required marketing collateral material required by our channel partners to successfully market and sell electronic detonator systems.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Devise develop and implement marketing material, promotional material and training material.
• This is the key activity which requires the ability to devise and develop the content of a technical and commercial nature to be used for product brochures, videos, animations, sales presentations and any other form of marketing collateral.
• Develop and sustain content for the Det Net website and end user portal.
• Lead development of new product brands and relative trademarks.
• Manage and track all Trademark registrations and legal aspects regarding brand and product registrations.
• Develop editorial content for products to support PR activities within the channels.
• Work with channel and distributors to promote Det Net products and to develop a market demand / pull from a diverse customer base. Also support channel events and exhibitions.
• Manage all branding aspects with regards to packaging and ensuring the brand is aligned throughout both channels externally.
• Conduct market research using a variety of techniques, such as surveys, and provide the company with updated market and industry information in terms of size, segments and application needs.
• Manage the budget for all Det Nets marketing, advertising, branding and promotional activities.
• Management of sponsor ships pertaining to industry collaborations.

Qualifications and experience:

• Degree in Marketing
• Fully literate in the following packages:
  
  - Adobe Creative Suite (In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Wordpress
• Graphic design skills (e.g.
  
  - coral draw etc.)
• 5 10 years experience in the sales and marketing environment - preferably in the electronic & mining or related supply industries.
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with a global customer base.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, highly persuasive.
• Self-driven, high energy optimist who thrives of challenges.
• Administratively sound close out tasks and can focus on details.
• Digital marketing skills & knowledge
• Highly literate with a flair for technical writing.
