PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The main purpose of this position is to versee the day‑to‑day activities on the production floor. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with all PCI
, ISO
, Quality
, Health & Safety
, and GDZAEP procedures.
This is a hands‑on supervisory role where you’ll guide, support, and motivate your team to meet their targets and deliver exceptional quality. To also ensure that their job goals are completed by striving for Quality, Trust and Security at all times. The key responsibilities of the position are as follows, but not limited to:

  • Lead and manage the production team in line with company policies and procedures
  • Drive a strong quality culture across your shift
  • Ensure all fatal machine errors are checked and cleared with % quality verification
  • Delegate tasks, set deadlines, and communicate clear shift goals
  • Capture and report daily production, waste, and timesheet statistics
  • Conduct monthly performance evaluations
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to the Production Leader
  • Train new employees and nurture a collaborative team environment
  • Address and resolve team issues or conflicts professionally
  • Maintain full compliance with QMS, PCI, ISO, and Health & Safety requirements
  • MINIMUM ACADEMIC

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Matric / NQF Level 4 qualification (or equivalent).
  • NQF Level 6 (Diploma/Advanced Certificate).
  • PROFESSIONAL

    EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 1 years or more proven experience supervising a fast‑paced production team
  • At least one years’ experience as a Machine Operator.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established systems
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and support a diverse team
  • Comfortable making decisions and handling change
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to stay organized, maintain routine workflows, and deliver against deadlines
