Maintenance Fitter and Turner at Cater Chain Food Services

Responsibilities and qualifications for the role:

• Perform Planned preventative maintenance and condition monitoring
• Perform Repair maintenance and proactive maintenance
• Machine refurbishments and plant improvements
• Adhering to Job cards procedures
• Interpreting drawings, diagrams and specifications and determining suitable materials and sequence of operations
• Checking fabricated and assembled parts for fit and finish, tolerances and accuracy using precision measuring tools
• Using machinery and tools to form raw materials into finished products by cutting, pressing, grinding, planning, boring and drilling
• Performing routine maintenance of machines and tools and diagnosing and repairing faults
• Use welding techniques and machining processes to replace and repair parts
• Cutting, threading, bending and installing pipes and lines for hydraulic components
• Following safety protocols by good Housekeeping and adhering to all applicable SHE practices

• Mechanical fitter and turner Trade test and N4
• At least 2yrs work experience as a fitter post trade test attainment
• FMCG experience would be an advantage
• Intermediate to advance knowledge of Ms suite (Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Power Point)
• Good Communication Skills and basic computer skills
• Inventory management systems
• Interpersonal relationship skills.

• Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
