Moulding Manager

The Moulding Manager will oversee all injection moulding operations for circuit breaker component production, ensuring optimal equipment utilization to meet stringent quality requirements and production targets. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strong leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Deliver plastic components according to agreed production plans and schedules.
• Assess daily demand levels and coordinate with stakeholders to meet timing requirements.
• Manage Supervisors’ activities to achieve required output targets.
• Coordinate with Production Control for resource allocation (machines, tools, labour).

• Ensure all moulded parts meet dimensional tolerances.
• Work with QA teams on incoming material inspection and finished goods testing.
• Oversee quality checks, in-process inspections, and accurate documentation.
• Manage corrective action reports, returns, and rejects.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues with corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.

• Liaise with Toolroom on tooling requirements and performance.
• Ensure adequate tooling availability for production needs.
• Coordinate with maintenance providers for equipment servicing and repairs.
• Implement preventative maintenance systems and practices.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide training in moulding processes and safety.
• Develop training plans and implement performance management systems.
• Provide coaching to improve employee performance.
• Foster a disciplined, business-focused, and continuous improvement culture.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams.

• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures for equipment and personnel.
• Maintain knowledge of machinery hazards and safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations for plastic processing and waste management.
• Implement and monitor lockout/tagout procedures and safety protocols.

• Compile monthly reports covering efficiencies, service levels, and performance metrics.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure data integrity.
• Manage departmental budgets and control operational costs.
• Participate in capital expenditure planning and budgeting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field.
• Certification in injection moulding technology preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in injection moulding operations.
• At least 3 years in a management role.
• Experience in electrical component manufacturing or precision moulding preferred.
• Knowledge of thermoplastic and thermoset processing, especially flame‑retardant and electrical‑grade materials.

• Proficiency in injection moulding process parameters and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of mould design and tooling maintenance.
• Knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes and quality systems.
• Strong budget management and planning skills.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficient in ERP systems, production planning software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
