an opportunity has become available for an Instrumentation technician. the incumbent will maintain, calibrate, validate and commission new equipment and Manufacture specialised equipment for SANBS and NBI. The incumbent will also ensure compliance with SOP’s and legislation according to schedule.

Key Performance Areas

• Ensures the effective Calibration and Validation of Laboratory Equipment and Instrumentation For SANBS and NBI
• Undertakes the maintenance, servicing and cleaning of laboratory equipment,instruments, alarms and recording devices for SANBS and NBI
• Undertakes repairs and maintenance of laboratory equipment for SANBS and NBI
• Ensures that Tools are maintained and signed for in and out of stock
• Undertakes Administrative Duties effectively and efficiently
• Manufacturing specialised equipment for SANBS and NBI

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Certified and registered Metrologist by National laboratory association as part of the Mertcert program.
• Instrumentation trade test.

• 5-10 Years experience in Repairing and Calibrating Laboratory Equipment.
