Description

Hire Resolve has an exciting opportunity with our client for a Maintenance Manager in the solar/renewable energy sector in Johannesburg. Our client, a leading renewable energy company, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join their team in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of their solar energy plants.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the maintenance fleet and teams for Solar PV and BESS installations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, inspections, and procedures for preventive care and timely repairs.
  • Manage emergency responses to equipment failures and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Expand maintenance services to third-party operations to generate additional revenue.
  • Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, conducting performance evaluations and providing training.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage team schedules, workload distribution, and resource allocation.
  • Implement quality control measures and conduct audits to ensure high standards of workmanship.
  • Resolve issues related to maintenance quality and maintain documentation and records.
  • Oversee procurement, inventory, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
  • Manage maintenance fleet and budget, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor and optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address recurring issues and implement performance improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance maintenance operations.

    • Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Fleet Management, or a related field. Advanced technical certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
  • Knowledge of Solar PV and BESS technologies and maintenance requirements is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing maintenance teams and operations.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the renewable energy industry.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
