The ideal candidate is a proven business leader with extensive experience in the telecommunications or ICT sector. They will provide end-to-end leadership — from strategy formulation to execution — while fostering a customer-first, values-driven, and agile culture throughout the organisation.

This is an opportunity to shape market strategy, define new service models, and drive digital infrastructure growth in a business at the heart of South Africa’s connectivity evolution.

Strategic Leadership & Growth

Successful development and execution of a compelling medium-to-long-term strategy aligned with market trends, group objectives, and national connectivity demands.

Identify and exploit new opportunities for revenue growth — both organically and through strategic partnerships, M&A, and product innovation.

Lead market and sector expansion strategies, including entry into new verticals, geographies, or services.

Drive profitability, improve performance, and grow the business by focusing on the implementation of the strategy and successful execution of operational objectives.

Represent the business unit at Segment and Group level.

Drive operational excellence, ensuring optimal service delivery, network performance, and customer experience.

Lead the preparation and delivery of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.

Ensure delivery against agreed financial metrics, including EBITDA, cash flow, and profitability targets.

Implement scalable systems, processes, and operational disciplines to support business unit growth and service innovation.

Proactively manage commercial risk, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.

Maximise people capability, capacity, and diversity by investing in a holistic development approach, incorporating the dynamics of a new SA.

Lead and guide the Executive team and all direct reports to ensure the successful implementation of the strategy and agreed operational objectives.

Establish clear reporting structures, responsibilities, and accountabilities for the Executive team.

Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of Executives/direct reports, providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.

Create an environment which keeps employees motivated and allows them — and the Company — to reach their/its full potential through the active promotion of a values-driven, high-performance culture.

This will be done through:

Creating a high-performance culture that displays and upholds the Reunert Group Values and the highest degree of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.

Creating and maintaining a positive team-oriented culture where constructive feedback is encouraged and trust is fostered.

Ensuring an open, harmonious, and motivated work environment that reflects the Reunert Group’s leadership philosophy.

Developing Employee Development Plans to enable employee development and ensure succession for key positions.
