We are seeking a talented individual to join the Specialties division at Marsh
. This role will be based in Sandton
, hybrid and has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The Marine Client Executive role presents an excellent challenge and career growth opportunity for professionals with a solid background in marine insurance.
You will play a pivotal role in servicing Risk Management, Commercial, and Corporate clients. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of various marine insurance classes, including Cargo, Goods in Transit (GIT), Stock Throughput, Hull & Machinery, and Protection & Indemnity covers. However, candidates with a proven track record in client service within non-marine insurance classes will also be considered.
Key responsibilities include maintaining sound working relationships with clients, colleagues and markets, driving revenue growth within the team and identifying opportunities to enhance service efficiency. Your expertise will be essential in managing complex renewals and delivering optimal outcomes for both clients and Marsh.
This is a full-time position requiring in-office attendance at least three days per week, including Mondays and Wednesdays.
We will count on you to:
Develop intimate knowledge of the client’s business including forging relationships with decision makers at the client
Know and understand the nature and scope of the client’s insurance needs and policy requirements
Provide Marine Broking Services.
Attend strategy meetings and/or renewal meetings.
Preparation / Finalisation of Broking documentation.
Identification and selection of appropriate markets.
Distribution of Broking Notes to the market.
Negotiating with Markets for best deals.
Implementation of placement strategy on high complexity accounts.
Collation of market terms and quotes for submission to client services.
Preparation / Finalisation of Placing Slips.
Closings to markets / obtaining market confirmation of cover.
Confirm final placement / changes and Endorsements.
Work with the Operations team to issue accurate policy schedules.
Preparation of other broking documentation as required.
What you need to have:
5- 10 years’ experience demonstrable client executive experience in marine insurance /or other non-marine insurance classes.
FAIS and CPD compliant.
RE 05 (Representatives Exam) – PASSED.
Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
Conversant with insurance legislation.
Excellent communications skills - English and local language verbal and written.
