A leading Underwriting Management Agency (UMA) in the commercial vehicle sector, dedicated to providing comprehensive insurance solutions and exceptional service is looking for a dynamic individual to join them as a Third Party Claims Specialist with a strong focus on litigation. This is an in-office 3-month fixed term contract with possible extension. The company is open to the option of a half-day role with salary adjusted accordingly.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and process third party claims with a focus on those requiring litigation.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for resolving claims disputes.
  • Communicate assertively with clients, legal representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and timely resolution of claims.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and gather relevant documentation to support claims.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and legal standards related to third party claims.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all claims.
  • Monthly reports to management on open claims detailing progress and outcomes.
  • Appointment of attorneys on litigation matters.
  • Give mandate on matters to attorneys.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in Law, Insurance, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in claims management, specifically with a focus on third party claims and litigation within the motor sectors.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance principles, legal processes, and regulatory requirements in the trucking industry.
  • Skills: Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a proven ability to handle complex claims and litigation effectively.
