A leading recruitment consultancy is seeking a Sonata Technical Analyst on behalf of a client within the financial and investment technology space. This role offers the chance to work at the heart of a fast-paced digitally driven environment supporting system enhancements analysing complex technical requirements and contributing to the development of innovative adviser-focused platforms.

The successful candidate will work closely with business analysts developers vendors and cross-functional teams providing technical insight across incidents projects and system improvements.

• Analyse functional and non-functional requirements including as-is/to-be modelling and impact assessments
• Support development activities through detailed technical analysis and documentation
• Evaluate and interpret data flows APIs endpoints and system architecture
• Facilitate data mapping and integration investigations using tools such as SOAPUI or Postman
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Business IT and vendor environments
• Assist Test Analysts with requirements interpretation and testing strategies
• Perform functional testing triage defects and support release management
• Produce and maintain technical documentation integration requirements and system specifications

• Relevant degree in Commerce Computer Science Statistics Engineering Investment Management or related fields
• Experience as a Technical Analyst or technical contributor within software development projects
• Strong understanding of investment and life products investment platforms and related regulatory environments
• Experience with front-end systems analysis non-functional requirements (performance security scalability) and modern frameworks
• Exposure to SQL data analysis BI tools and reporting
• Knowledge of ITIL COBIT or similar frameworks (advantageous)
• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Software development experience or background (advantageous)
