Senior UI​/UX Designer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic data team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centered digital experiences across platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end UX design for web and mobile applications.
• Conduct user research, develop personas, map user journeys, and run usability testing.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive user flows using modern prototyping tools.

• Design high-fidelity UI screens adhering to brand and accessibility standards.
• Develop scalable design systems, UI libraries, and component-based design systems.
• Ensure responsive and accessible designs across devices.
• Incorporate motion, micro-interactions, and animation to enhance user experience.

• Work with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define UX requirements.
• Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on design best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and recommend design improvements.
• Advocate for user-centered design across product teams.

Requirements & Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

• 5–8+ years of UI/UX design experience.
• Strong portfolio of user-centered design projects demonstrating problem-solving and creativity.
• Expertise with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, InVision, and Miro.
• Experience with responsive and accessible design, inclusive design, and modern design systems.
• Knowledge of interactive prototyping and animation tools like Framer, Principle, or After Effects.

Highly Desirable Skills:

• Experience designing for enterprise SaaS applications.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS, and collaboration with development teams.
• Knowledge of design handoff tools like Zeplin or Figma’s Developer Handoff.
• Experience with UX analytics, A/B testing tools, and user feedback platforms (e.g., Hotjar, Lookback, Full Story).
• Understanding of design thinking, service design, and accessibility standards.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field.

Additional Information

• Contract Duration: 12 Months (with possibility of renewal)

• Eligibility: Must be located in South Africa or hold a valid SA work permit
