Job PurposeTo support and deliver bots, execute on the Robotics/ AI strategy, and deliver operational excellence and productivity within a team of developers and technology experts. The role requires an individual with passion, courage, ownership, and strong collaboration skills, and a commitment to learning new technologies such as AI, OCR, ML, and chatbots.
Job Responsibilities- Facilitate client workshops and work with business analysts to document requirements and develop use cases and solution designs.
- Conduct as‑is process analysis, design to‑be processes, and create end‑to‑end automation solution blueprints for robot process automation implementations.
- Serve as the key contact for the customer, guiding them through analysis and acting as a trusted advisor on RPA and AI solutions.
- Participate in co‑creation of the robotics strategy and promote innovation and optimization opportunities.
- Ensure high‑quality and efficient automation solutions, regular revisions, and continuous improvement of development standards.
- Apply development standards across automation projects and drive collaboration and knowledge exchange.
- Promote Agile practices and client‑centric culture, ensuring service excellence.
- Manage financial aspects of the technology function, including project budgets and risk management.
- Support standardization of IT delivery processes and ensure compliance with standards, policy, and regulatory requirements.
- Improve delivery capabilities and capacity to meet future skill needs, and maintain production stability across all systems.
- Manage suppliers and external stakeholders in accordance with defined SLAs.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, addressing issues identified through culture surveys.
- Proven experience in process automation.
- Expert knowledge of Blue Prism and robot configuration practices.
- Knowledge of other RPA platforms and coding languages (e.g., .NET, SQL, HTML, C#, Java) is advantageous.
- Professional understanding of Quality Assurance and Agile methodology.
- Ability to translate incidents, system changes, and business needs into RPA solutions.
- Excellent communication, change management, coordination, and prioritization skills.
- Proficient in professional English (written and spoken).
- Advanced Diploma/National 1st Degree or equivalent.
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
- Minimum 4 years of RPA support & IT operations experience.
- Expert knowledge of Blue Prism development is advantageous.
- Experience reviewing, testing, and deploying RPA code in production environments.
- Experience supporting and maintaining production bots, including improving existing bots and processes.
- Robotics training or certification.
- IT Degree (NQF Level
7). - Robotics developer certification.
