. This role supports the data modelling standards, principles, frameworks and tools across the organisation. You will design and develop logical and physical data models and databases to fulfil the needs of our information systems and business requirements, and coordinate and prioritise data modelling initiatives within the business area.

Responsibilities
  • Execute on data modelling standards, principles, frameworks and tools.
  • Coordinate and prioritise data modelling work within the business area.
  • Manage the entire data modelling lifecycle—from logical to implemented physical model.
  • Understand reference and master data requirements, coordinating surrogate keys and enterprise code values with stakeholders.
  • Provide input into key metrics for measuring progress in data modelling.
  • Optimise and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects.
  • Ensure source‑to‑target mapping meets requirements.
  • Maintain all ETL and business rules within the data model, and related metadata.
  • Recommend opportunities for re‑use of data models in new environments.
  • Review and improve data modelling software for efficiency and performance.
  • Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies.
Qualifications
  • 4–5 years’ experience in data modelling, with hands‑on relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience (RDBMS, No

    SQL, ETL, data ingestion protocols).
  • Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms in multi‑data‑centre contexts.
  • Knowledge of logical data modelling and industry data models (e.g., IBM, Teradata).
  • Experience with the Inmon methodology in data‑warehousing environments.
  • Skilled in dimensional data modelling using the Kimball methodology.
  • Experience using data modelling technologies such as Erwin.
  • Developed data models in a banking environment.
  • Implemented data management domains and technologies (data modelling, metadata management, data quality and profiling, information architecture).
  • Strong networking, team collaboration, communication and presentation skills.
