Position: Group Industrial / Organisational Psychologist

Requirements for the role

The role requires a Post Graduate qualification in Industrial/Organisational Psychology, registration as an Industrial Psychologist with the HPSCA, and a minimum of 5 years experience in psychometric assessment, talent assessment, or organisational development. A proven career of 35 years in career development, talent management, or organisational development environments is expected. Additionally, 23 years experience coordinating external psychologists, assessment vendors, or professional panels, and 13 years experience within education, professional services, or large, multi-entity organisations are required.

Key

responsibilities of the role will include but not limited to
  • Ensure full compliance with HPCSA requirements, POPIA, ethical guidelines, and group policies.
  • Administer, score, interpret, and quality-assure assessments and reports.
  • Drive consistency and quality of psychometric practices across all brands, divisions, and geographies.
  • Coordinate the group's internal and external psychologist network in line with Group standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, pricing models, and performance reporting.
  • Deliver individual psychometric feedback to candidates, employees, and line managers.
  • Facilitate team and group feedback sessions, insights workshops, and development conversations.
  • Translate psychometric data into meaningful, actionable insights for leaders and HR stakeholders.
  • Design, implement, and continuously enhance the Group's Career Development Framework.
  • Develop career maps, capability pathways, role profiles, and growth frameworks across business units.
  • Provide expert psychometric input into succession planning and talent review processes.
  • Participate in Group offering insights on readiness, potential, risk, and development needs.
  • Partner with Talent, OD, and Communications teams to share career journeys, success stories, and internal mobility wins.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of psychometric assessments supporting recruitment, development, and succession planning.
