Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing
Manage the full payroll process using Sage 300 People, including salary calculations, deductions, overtime, bonuses, terminations, and leave processing. Ensure accurate and timeous salary payments via electronic transfer.
- Employee Data Management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including hours worked (via ERS Biometrics), banking details, pay rates, and all relevant payroll-related data.
- Compliance with Legislation
Ensure all payroll activities are compliant with South African labour laws, including BCEA, UIF, PAYE, SDL, and SARS requirements.
- Tax Submissions
Prepare, reconcile, and submit all statutory payroll tax reports and declarations (e.g., EMP
201, EMP
501) within required deadlines.
- System Maintenance
Regularly update the Sage 300 People and ERS Biometrics systems with employee information, leave records, and any payroll-related changes.
- Report Generation
Generate and distribute accurate payroll reports, costing summaries, and variance reports for management, finance, and audit purposes.
- Record Keeping
Maintain secure, confidential, and well-organized payroll files to ensure compliance and audit-readiness at all times.
- Employee Support
Provide professional support to employees regarding payroll queries, payslip explanations, and any issues related to salary processing.
