Purpose of the Position

To lead the Human Resources function by developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and practices that align with the Company’s objectives. To ensure a motivated, skilled, and productive workforce while maintaining compliance with labour regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Management
  • Manages the administration of employee benefits in respect of all staff. Medical Aid and Pension.
  • Audits employee files and leave records monthly.
  • Manages the Stanfleet and AA.
  • Monthly audit on Stanfleet cards and fuel usage.
  • Provides advice to employees on benefits such as pension and medical aid.
  • Assist Branches with Disciplinary issues such as warnings, counselling and disciplinary hearings.
  • Attend All CCMA matters – Conciliation and Arbitration.
  • Attend to Labour department queries.
  • Assist Management with queries regarding the Basic Conditions of employment as well as the Labour relations Act.
  • Assist all branches with IOD and capturing it on the online Department of Labour system.
  • Compiling the Skills development plan and report on the WR SETA website on an annual basis (Claim for SDL).
  • Employment equity and BBBEE.
  • Updating and maintaining all Organizational structures, ensuring Organograms are updated.
  • All General HR Duties, charities, etc.
  • Stays informed about changes in the laws that apply to the payroll process and Labour relations.
  • Assisting Branches with recruitment, interviewing possible candidates.
  • Conducting induction training and orientation with new employees.
  • Health and Safety Management.
  • POPIA, Health and Safety, IOD.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Has overall responsibility for a team of 4 staff members reporting directly to the HR Manager.
  • Implements performance measures and ensures achievement thereof.
Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
  • Grade 12.
  • BCOM Degree in HRM.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in similar role.
  • Member of the SABPP is advantageous.
  • Own car.
