Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Biokineticist to join our team and play a key role in managing our Biokinetic Wellness benefit programme for medical schemes. In this dynamic role, you will oversee benefit operations and motivate our members to reach their full potential. The research and development of health and wellness content is a further important aspect of this role.

The Biokineticist will report to the Team Leader:
Proactive Health in Universal Corporate Wellness, who reports to the Senior Manager:
Wellness and Occupational Health.

• Operational responsibility for the Biokinetics Wellness Benefits for Medical Schemes
• Responsible for the operational management of the Biokinetics Wellness benefit for the respective Medical Schemes.
• Responsible for high level case management of beneficiaries on the Benefits and supporting their allocated provider biokineticist when needed.
• Responsible for developing training material and annual updating of forms, best practice protocols, process flows, provider manual and system changes.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with partners e.g. fitness facilities and internal Universal departments.
• Build personal professional network.
• Continuously research on current and new corporate wellness services.
• Attend health and wellness days and educate members on benefit and provide advice within scope.
• Responsible to draft weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting.
• Learning more about the dietetic wellness benefits and work with other team members. Stand in for other team members when needed.

• Provider Network Support
• Support biokineticists on our Network and provide guidance in terms of our benefit protocols and operational processes.
• Proactively and continuously manage and educate the Biokineticist network.
• Oversight of the Biokinetics benefit claims process.
• Responsible for query resolution including benefit and claims queries when escalated from the claims department.
• Identify areas in need of a Network Biokineticist and refer recruitment requirements for biokineticists to applicable team member for sign on. Ensure the expansion of the Biokineticist Network.
• Responsible for the drafting of regular applicable communications to the provider Network, getting approval and arrange for distribution.

• Responsible for health and wellness content research and educational content development.
• Assist with the research, development and facilitation of health and wellness talks and workshops.
• Research and development of health and wellness content for inclusion in newsletters, articles, health guides and wellness blogs.

• Registered with HPCSA

Be able to speak, write, read and comprehend fluently in English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

• Extensive knowledge about, physical activity, wellness and health promotion.
• Previous wellness benefit management experience will be beneficial.
