Position: Medical Receptionist / Front Office Administrator (ENT Practice)
Location: Rosebank, Johannesburg
Industry: Medical / Healthcare (ENT Practice)
Salary: R25,000 – R35,000 per month (depending on experience)

Job Purpose

An established ENT practice in Rosebank is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist / Front Office Administrator to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the front office. The role requires strong knowledge of medical aid processes, ICD codes, authorisations, and excellent patient service skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk operations and patient reception in a professional and compassionate manner

  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the doctor’s diary

  • Process medical aid claims, authorisations, and pre-approvals

  • Capture and verify ICD-10 codes accurately

  • Liaise with medical aids regarding benefits, payments, and authorisation requirements

  • Handle patient queries, billing enquiries, and follow-ups

  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure POPIA compliance

  • General administrative duties to support the practice

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience as a medical receptionist/front office administrator (ENT or specialist practice preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of medical aid procedures, ICD-10 coding, and authorisations (essential)

  • Experience working directly with medical aids and patient billing processes

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in medical practice management systems and MS Office
