We place our patients and their families at the centre of the rehabilitation journey and aim to restore their identity and enable the fulfilment of their life roles. We are a team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists whose goal is to provide continuous care along the rehabilitation journey from acute treatment to outpatient therapy, and beyond into the community and the workplace.

This is a fulfilling opportunity to provide evidence-based speech pathology services within a multidisciplinary environment. The role includes supporting clients with communication disorders, cognitive-communication needs, and dysphagia. This is a locum role for weekday and/or weekend shifts as needed.

• Delivering therapy in hospital, sub-acute, out-patient, home, or community-based settings to help clients achieve personalised goals.
• Assessing and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties.
• Providing indirect client services, including education and collaboration with family or care teams.
• Participating in team discussions and contributing to an integrated care approach.
• Maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulatory standards.

About You:

You’re an enthusiastic Speech Therapist with a passion for rehabilitation and client-centered care. You’re ready to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and bring innovation and compassion to your role. You're looking for weekday or weekend locum work in acute hospital, sub-acute, out-patient or community care environments.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology.
• Current HPCSA registration.
• South African citizen or valid work visa.
• Proof of Malpractice insurance.
• If you re currently working in public, proof of RWOPS letter.
• Experience in adult rehabilitation and multidisciplinary teams is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s license and personal car to enable easy travel between units.
• Access to an IT device (phone, laptop, tablet) in order to complete clinical admin requirements on a web-based portal.

• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation and basic IT platforms.
• Postgraduate courses in Dysphagia Management, Voice Therapy and ICU airway care
