Position: FINANCE MANAGER
Purpose of the Role The Finance Manager will oversee the full financial operations of the branch while operating at a strategic level in support of the Managing Director.
This role requires a commercially astute finance leader with experience in a global organisation structure, reporting into MD and Regional / Head Office, ideally within the 3PL Logistics industry. The incumbent must be capable of acting as a strategic finance partner — effectively operating at CFO level — assisting the MD in shaping corporate strategy, driving financial performance, and supporting long-term sustainable growth

Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Act as strategic finance partner to the MD
  • Support corporate strategy development and long-term growth planning
  • Provide executive-level financial insight for business decision-making
  • Present reforecast P&L to Local and Regional HQ management
  • Drive performance improvement and cost optimization initiatives
2. Financial Operations & Governance
  • Oversee full financial operations of the branch
  • Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
  • Maintain compliance with IFRS, tax regulations and industry legislation
  • Ensure robust balance sheet integrity and variance analysis
  • Oversee closing process and reporting on SAP ERP
3. Treasury & Tax Compliance
  • Manage CIT, VAT
    201, EMP
    201, IRP6 and withholding tax submissions
  • Ensure timeous tax payments to SARS
  • Prepare provisional tax calculations and reforecast P&L
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and avoid penalties
4. AR / AP & Logistics Settlement Oversight
  • Approve revenue (AR) and logistics COGS (AP) transactions
  • Lead Account Settlement team performance
  • Drive billing KPI adherence and process improvement
  • Manage Logistics Settlement and accrual recognition
  • Review balance sheet open item lists and income statement variances
5. Reporting & Systems
  • Ensure accurate upload of revenue and cost data into SAP
  • Liaise with management on labour cost and expense planning
  • Review payroll journals and approvals
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual reporting within strict deadlines
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree in Finance / Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 5 years in a managerial financial leadership role
  • Proven experience within a global organization structure
  • Experience reporting into MD and Regional / Head Office
  • Experience with in 3PL / Logistics industry (highly advantageous)
  • Strong SAP ERP exposure
  • Advanced financial analysis and reporting capability
