• Set and execute Hollard’s M&A and Private Equity strategy in line with the Group’s growth strategy.
• Lead a high‑performing Corporate Finance function and embed a culture of excellence, innovation and collaboration.

• Oversee a diverse portfolio of private equity investments and drive value creation.
• Partner with investee executives to accelerate growth and operational improvement.
• Serve as Hollard’s board representative and actively participate in sub‑committees (Risk, Audit, Investment, Remuneration).

• Lead sourcing, evaluation, financial modelling, due diligence and structuring of transactions.
• Negotiate optimal deal terms and manage post‑deal integration to maximise synergies.
• Coordinate cross‑functional integration and ensure strategic alignment across the Group.

• Build strong relationships with bankers, advisors, equity partners and internal stakeholders.
• Provide clear, strategic insights and updates to Executives and the Board.

• Oversee reporting processes for equity investments and Quarterly Equity Earnings.
• Lead year‑end valuations and Investment Committee submissions.
• Manage audit processes, loan funding structures and financial reporting for Investment Holding Companies.

• Recruit, mentor and inspire top finance talent.
• Promote collaboration, continuous improvement and strategic thinking across the team.

• CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification
• Relevant Degree + Honours
• 10+ years post‑article in M&A, Investment Banking or Private Equity
• Minimum 5 years in the insurance sector
• Proven success leading end‑to‑end M&A transactions and strategic investments
• Strong governance, commercial acumen and relationship‑building capability
• Confident board‑level communicator and influencer
