Hollard is looking for an exceptional Corporate Finance leader to drive our M&A strategy, oversee our private equity portfolio, and steer high‑impact strategic transactions that shape the Group’s future. This role is ideal for a seasoned deal‑maker with strong commercial instinct, governance depth, and a track record of unlocking long‑term value.
- Set and execute Hollard’s M&A and Private Equity strategy in line with the Group’s growth strategy.
- Lead a high‑performing Corporate Finance function and embed a culture of excellence, innovation and collaboration.
- Oversee a diverse portfolio of private equity investments and drive value creation.
- Partner with investee executives to accelerate growth and operational improvement.
- Serve as Hollard’s board representative and actively participate in sub‑committees (Risk, Audit, Investment, Remuneration).
- Lead sourcing, evaluation, financial modelling, due diligence and structuring of transactions.
- Negotiate optimal deal terms and manage post‑deal integration to maximise synergies.
- Coordinate cross‑functional integration and ensure strategic alignment across the Group.
- Build strong relationships with bankers, advisors, equity partners and internal stakeholders.
- Provide clear, strategic insights and updates to Executives and the Board.
- Oversee reporting processes for equity investments and Quarterly Equity Earnings.
- Lead year‑end valuations and Investment Committee submissions.
- Manage audit processes, loan funding structures and financial reporting for Investment Holding Companies.
- Recruit, mentor and inspire top finance talent.
- Promote collaboration, continuous improvement and strategic thinking across the team.
- CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification
- Relevant Degree + Honours
- 10+ years post‑article in M&A, Investment Banking or Private Equity
- Minimum 5 years in the insurance sector
- Proven success leading end‑to‑end M&A transactions and strategic investments
- Strong governance, commercial acumen and relationship‑building capability
- Confident board‑level communicator and influencer
