Job Summary: An exciting opportunity exists for a Specialist:
Commercial Payments Change Manager. In this role you will own and manage the exploration and development of business and change management processes for strategic commercial payment initiatives, with the intent to partner and support the ultimate business and change owner. You will consistently provide end to end advice, oversight and support in the positioning and execution of commercial payment change initiatives within Business Banking;
create a framework to support the desired operating and reporting model, processes, strategy and value chain formulation for cross-franchise (Retail, Business, Corporate Banking) and Business Bank cross-business unit alignment and positioning. The role entails owning and managing strategic change portfolio management and reporting across Commercial Payments Strategy. Drive issue, risk and key decision identification, formulation, tracking, reporting and support remedial action planning, execution.
- Provide support and guidance on complex and key payment change matters, ensuring alignment with business, operational and technical strategy across Business Banking;
- Ensure the design, implementation and maintenance of payment change frameworks and standards;
- Identify, structure and track statutory, regulatory, scheme and internal change demand for future prioritisation and execution;
- Oversee payment change and efficiency programmes as senior specialist and provide guidance and advice where required;
- Manage an Absa integrated payment change management Book of Work to ensure critical payment change initiatives are logged and delivered within the respective Product, operational and technical and Businesses areas;
- Fulfil all activities in adherence to relevant group policy, standards, control and compliance requirements;
- Actively promote and manage the collaborative engagement of internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, payment associations and bodies, business partners and other Absa entities;
- Oversee the fulfilment of all required governance activities, including change tracking and reporting;
- Proactive Issue, risk and key decision tracking, management, reporting. Support issue, risk mitigation planning, remedial action tracking.
- Report and present into the various levels of the BB Payments Governance Structure.
- Liaise with stakeholders and execute Payments operational plans through approved governance framework.
- Communicate industry changes related to outcomes of internal payments governance forums - & relevant sub-committees.
- Represent BB Payment Change management at relevant Absa, Interbank and Banking Association forums where payments products and streams are affected.
- Ensure alignment within Business Bank on all decisions and outcomes made within the industry affecting relevant payment change initiatives through the appropriate internal governance forums.
- Assist Business Banking with the socialising and tracking of any Absa initiated, regulatory and/or industry payment change initiatives.
- Provide change management support to the Commercial Payments Strategy function in monitoring change progress within the industry and internal to Absa across the various impacted Businesses, Products and Channels.
