Position: Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant
Location: Randburg

🔹 ROLE: SENIOR BOOKKEEPER

We are looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to take ownership of the full bookkeeping and accounting function, with strong exposure to imports, stock, contracts, and statutory compliance
. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who is organised, confident, and comfortable working across finance and operations.

Candidate MUST be fluent in English and Afrikaans. Tertiary qualification in finance essential (degree, diploma or certificate)

🔹 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 📊 Accounting & Bookkeeping
  • Full accounting function up to Trial Balance and Financial Statements
  • Data processing and analysis on Pastel
    , including BIC (Business Intelligence Reports)
  • Monthly management accounts, margin reports, and reconciliations
  • Debtors and creditors management
  • VAT reconciliations and submissions
  • Payroll and management accounts support
  • Statutory returns:
    PAYE, UIF, VAT
🚢 Imports, Exports & Inventory
  • Imports and exports logistics coordination
  • Multi-currency processing on Pastel
  • Customs VAT and FEC management (booking to payment)
  • Stock planning, forecasting, and re-order level control
  • Inventory capturing and ongoing management
  • Liaison with local and international suppliers and freight forwarders
đź“‘ Contract & Price Management
  • Supplier and customer pricing management
  • Contract Price Adjustments (CPA), including:
    • Date reminders
    • Indices interpretation
    • Calculations
    • Customer correspondence
  • Maintain accurate and well‑structured filing systems
🏢 Office, Compliance & Governance
  • Understanding of full order-to-delivery processes
  • B-BBEE administration (CSI, ESD, Skills Development)
  • CSD compliance and tender readiness
  • Tax Clearance Certificates management
  • Employment Equity submissions
  • COIDA compliance
  • OHS Act file preparation and maintenance (training provided)
  • PA / confidential support to MD (2IC role)
🔹 REQUIREMENTS & ATTRIBUTES
  • Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
  • Bookkeeping qualification – ICB Training
  • Strong bookkeeping and accounting background
  • Excellent Pastel knowledge
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong typing and administrative skills
  • Professional, well‑groomed, and customer‑focused
  • Team player with leadership capability
  • Highly organised, detail‑driven, and deadline‑focused
