A hands‑on accounting role within a dynamic hospitality and timeshare environment, offering exposure across multiple properties and close collaboration with senior leadership. This is an opportunity for a commercially astute accountant who enjoys ownership, structure, and driving financial discipline.
The role is responsible for maintaining robust financial controls across the business while supporting operational leaders with budgeting, reporting, and analysis. You will interpret monthly financial accounts, prepare detailed financial packs, manage audits, and report variances and anomalies directly to senior management. The position also plays a key role in developing financial policies, improving processes, and strengthening the capability of the accounting team.
The client operates within the hospitality and timeshare sector, managing multiple properties with a strong focus on governance, operational efficiency, and long‑term sustainability. The environment is structured, fast‑paced, and suited to an individual who is self‑driven and comfortable operating at a management level.
What You’ll Do- Maintain and enhance financial controls across all aspects of the business
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, and operational financial planning
- Prepare monthly, weekly, and variance financial reports
- Interpret and analyse property‑level financial accounts and report anomalies
- Manage and coordinate year‑end audits
- Develop and update financial policies, procedures, and manuals
- Oversee payroll, statutory compliance, and personnel‑related financial administration
- Lead, train, and develop accounting staff within the unit
- 2–4 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant or Finance Manager within hospitality
- Strong leadership ability with experience supervising a finance team
- Advanced Excel skills and strong Microsoft Office proficiency
- Experience with SAGE One and VIP Payroll / Payspace
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, controls, and audits
- Matric (minimum requirement); additional qualifications advantageous
- Valid South African
- Accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting
- Strong audit outcomes and compliance adherence
- Improved financial discipline and cost control across properties
- A capable, motivated, and well‑supported accounting team
