About the role:
Malander is seeking a ​​​​​​ ​​​​motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant who has experience in full finance function up to trial balance. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team, gaining practical experience in financial processes, reporting, and accounting functions.

Key responsibilities:
  • Preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and reconcile accounts.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including recording journal entries and posting to general ledgers.
  • Preparation of trial balance and month-end financial close processes.
  • Handle the accounts payable and receivable function, including invoicing and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and assist with cash flow management.
  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare variance reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial processes and provide financial insights.
Requirements:
  • Bookkeeping Certification
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping up to trial balance is essential.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Eagerness to learn and apply new skills in a practical setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
  • Basic knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
  • Experience with ERP systems or financial management tools.
