Compliance Monitoring Manager

Job Description:

Contribute to the delivery of the First Rand Group's Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan by producing quality reviews, performing complex monitoring reviews, and providing advice and guidance to the business to achieve regulatory compliance.

• Manage team performance in achievement of annual monitoring plan
• Ensure execution of compliance management strategies, plans and programmes
• Ensure development and continuous value add improvement to operational processes
• Deliver customer experience excellence in own service delivery aligned to Organizational values and service standards
• Compile monitoring plans indicating the compliance monitoring methodology used and the frequency thereof
• Compile monitoring reports on the results of monitoring incident reporting, to ensure timely escalation of compliance risks and incidents
• Interpret regulation and legislation and assist business units with practical implementation thereof
• Advise and provide guidance to management on systems, policies, processes and controls implemented to enable compliance
• Assist with the promotion of a culture of compliance and awareness and actively participating in compliance projects and training initiatives
• Maintain knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and internal compliance procedures and requirements
• Ensure compliance is adopted in terms of systems and procedures as laid out by organization and review in response to audit findings and changes
• Develop an understanding of risks and risk management approaches
• Implement and provide input into the development of governance and compliance procedures and processes within area of specialization and identify risks
• Educate others and make suggestions for improvements
• Network and participate in specialist risk forums where required
• Participate in Combined Assurance activities with assurance partners
• Compile Annual Monitoring Plan for Insure Pillar, engaging with stakeholders to identify key risks and required coverage

• Relevant BCom Qualification
• Compliance Monitoring experience
• Experience using ARCHER system
• 3-5 years’ experience in managing a team
• Internal audit experience
