Accounts Payable Officer

Responsibilities

A leading mining company is seeking a highly accurate and Excel-proficient Accounts Payable Officer to provide maternity cover for a critical finance role. This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where technical competence is non-negotiable. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and timeously
• Perform invoice matching, verification, and posting
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries
• Support month-end Accounts Payable processes
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and compliance with controls
• Work extensively on Excel-based reconciliations and data analysis
• Utilize SAP for transaction processing (advantageous)

• Diploma in Finance / Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years' hands-on Accounts Payable experience.
• Strong intermediate to advanced Excel skills is essential, including proficiency with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, and Concatenation.
• Experience processing large volumes of invoices in a fast-paced environment.
• Exposure to SAP is highly advantageous.
• Background in Mining, Construction, Petroleum/Petrochemical, or Heavy-Industry sectors is advantageous.
