This is an opportunity to sit inside the engine room of a high-volume iGaming and sports betting operation and take ownership of how players are acquired, converted, and monetised at scale.

Our client is a licensed, regulated iGaming operator competing in a crowded, aggressive market where CPA efficiency, traffic quality, compliance discipline and speed to market determine who wins and who quietly disappears.

They are looking for an Affiliate & Acquisition Specialist who thrives in that environment — someone who understands that in iGaming, growth is not theoretical, it is measured daily, in real money, under regulatory scrutiny.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Your key job responsibilities as Affiliate & Acquisition Specialist in Johannesburg, South Africa will include:

  • Scaling affiliate-driven player acquisition
  • Optimising paid and performance channels
  • Protecting the licence through strict compliance control
  • Delivering profitable, measurable, sustainable growth
  • This is a role for someone who wants ownership, pressure, and visibility — not comfort.
Your Mission:

You will own the end-to-end acquisition lifecycle across sports book and casino products, working closely with senior marketing leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver consistent player growth.

Affiliate Strategy, Growth & Monetisation:

You will:

  • Identify, recruit and onboard high-value iGaming affiliates, publishers and media partners
  • Build long-term commercial relationships with top-tier sports book and casino partners
  • Activate affiliates with approved creatives, offers, landing pages and tracking links
  • Structure and negotiate CPA, rev-share and hybrid commission models
  • Analyse traffic quality, player behaviour, fraud indicators and lifetime value
  • Scale what works aggressively — and cut what doesnt without hesitation
  • Enforce strict compliance across all affiliate activity, including responsible gaming and advertising standards
  • This is not affiliate account management.
  • This is affiliate revenue ownership.
Paid Acquisition & Performance Marketing:

You will:

  • Plan, execute and optimise campaigns across Google, Programmatic, ATL and performance channels
  • Own campaign architecture, audience targeting, testing frameworks and scaling logic
  • Constantly push to lower CPA while improving conversion quality
  • Work with CRM and BI teams to improve onboarding, retention and player value
  • Collaborate with Creative and Social teams to sharpen messaging and funnel performance
  • The focus is simple: efficient growth that survives scrutiny.
Tracking, Analytics & Commercial Insight:

You will:

  • Maintain accurate tracking, attribution and reporting across all acquisition channels
  • Analyse performance across CPA, conversion rates, player value and ROI
  • Produce actionable reports that inform commercial and budget decisions
  • Identify leakage, inefficiencies and optimisation opportunities across the funnel
  • If you like data but cant turn it into decisions, this role will eat you alive.
Compliance, Brand Protection & Market Intelligence:

You will:

  • Audit affiliate and paid channels to prevent misleading or non-compliant promotion
  • Ensure all acquisition activity aligns with iGaming regulations and brand governance
  • Monitor competitor strategies across sports book and casino markets
  • Identify new networks, traffic sources and acquisition angles before competitors do
  • Growth matters — but keeping the licence matters more.
What It Takes to Win in This Role:
  • This role is built for someone who already understands the iGaming acquisition ecosystem.
Requirements:
  • 2–5 years experience in affiliate marketing, acquisition or performance marketing
  • Hands-on experience in iGaming, sports betting or regulated online gaming
  • Strong working knowledge of affiliate platforms (Income Access, Net Refer, My Affiliates or similar)
  • Confidence in tracking, attribution models and performance analytics
  • A commercial mindset — you think in ROI, not vanity metrics
  • The ability to operate under pressure, ambiguity and constant change
  • Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Relevant marketing or business qualifications are advantageous but not essential
