Events Director (Contract)

Join a leading global IT solutions and services organization as an Events Director, responsible for planning and executing a large‑scale corporate event in June 2026.

• Lead end‑to‑end project management of the event, ensuring delivery by June 10, 2026.
• Oversee logistical, operational and production elements with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
• Collaborate with event partners, creative teams and production vendors to align with the event vision and goals.
• Identify and resolve operational challenges behind the scenes.
• Manage timelines, deliverables and budgets, ensuring accountability across work streams.
• Coordinate communication among senior leadership, project contributors and third‑party suppliers.
• Review and refine event plans to optimize execution.
• Lead during event execution, ensuring logistics, technology and attendee experience run smoothly.
• Conduct post‑event evaluations to identify successes and improvement opportunities.

• 8+ years in event management, production or experiential marketing within corporate or agency settings.
• Proven success delivering large‑scale, high‑profile events.
• Strong project management background with cross‑functional team and vendor coordination.
• Excellent organisational, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and "make things happen" under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Experience managing budgets, timelines and operational logistics in complex, global environments.
• Hands‑on leadership style, comfortable working behind the scenes for seamless execution.
• Based in South Africa with flexibility to collaborate remotely across global teams.
