Overview

Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team based in Johannesburg.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with a focus on designing, analysing, and overseeing construction projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to innovative engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed designs and layouts for structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the safety and stability of structures.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural elements into overall project plans.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Identify and resolve structural design issues promptly.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in structural engineering.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional registration with ECSA is required.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building and infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP
    2000, ETABS, or .
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
