Junior Revit Designer JHB

Our Client is seeking a Junior Designer to develop high-quality, impactful, and compliant fire protection system designs that provide cost-effective solutions for clients.

• Develop detailed fire protection system designs using Revit MEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD 2D.
• Create three-dimensional CAD models for piping systems to support design, coordination, and fabrication (CAD/CAM).
• Apply industry standards, codes, and compliance requirements to all designs.
• Produce Virtual Design Coordination (VDC) documents, including HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Piping disciplines.
• Standardize and maintain the Revit library to ensure fire compliance.
• Engage with clients, consultants, and professional teams to present and refine designs as per project requirements.

• Plan and manage design tasks by prioritizing work in line with project deadlines.
• Participate in costing of sales proposals by preparing initial designs, engaging with estimators, and optimizing designs for cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate design records and documentation according to filing conventions.
• Continuously enhance Revit (CAD) expertise by staying up to date with new developments and best practices.

• ASIB / IFE Certificate or similar (preferred).
• 2 - 3 years' experience as a Revit Designer.
• 2 3 years' experience as an AutoCAD 2D Designer.
• Experience in mechanical and piping design.
• 1+ years of technical CAD design experience in the building/construction industry (preferred).
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand all building-related drawings.
