Junior Industrial Engineer - Johannesburg
Salary: R20,000 to R30,000 per month

About the roleA specialist provider of advanced technology solutions in the mining industry is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Junior Industrial Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about engineering innovation, product development, and continuous improvement within the mining and industrial sector. (Office‑based) with national travel to mining.
Qualifications & Skills- Studying towards or holding a bachelors degree in industrial engineering or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Willingness to travel to mining sites for training, inspections, and testing.
- Previous experience in a mining or industrial engineering environment.
- Knowledge of mining systems such as Collision Avoidance Systems, Fuel Automation Systems, and Load & Production Systems.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
- Assist senior engineers with product documentation, data analysis, and report preparation.
- Maintain schedules, track progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Support the development, testing, and implementation of new features for various solutions.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for product improvement.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
- Assist in developing training materials and programs for technical staff.
- Provide on‑site training and support to ensure proper usage and maintenance of systems.
- Offer troubleshooting and fault‑finding support to resolve technical issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and reliability.
- Collect and analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement corrective actions and follow up on their effectiveness.
