A vacancy has arisen for a professional Driller to join a leading global oil and gas company on the Santorini Drillship Project
, based Offshore Israel
. The successful candidate will possess strong drilling expertise and hold a valid IADC or IWCF Well Control certification, with the ability to operate effectively in both offshore and onshore rig environments, ensuring the approved well programme is executed safely, efficiently, and productively in accordance with client procedures and contractual requirements.
- Be responsible for safe working conditions on the drill floor at all times.
- Be well-informed about actions, procedures and duties during safety drills and in emergency situations (refer to Emergency Preparedness Action Plan).
- Carry out own duties according to the Emergency Preparedness Action Plan.
- Intervene promptly and opportunely in emergencies, while notifying the superior in charge (refer to Emergency Preparedness Action Plan).
- Attend safety drills and meetings held on the rig.
- Promptly report any safety hazard, accident, near-miss, or non-conformance through proper channels.
- Check and set up the equipment necessary for the assigned shift, i.e. drill pipes and other tubular material, x-over, etc.
- Be well-informed about handling and operating safely all drilling related tools and equipment.
- Receive instructions for drilling parameters (weight on bit, rotary table rpm, pressures and pump outputs) as well as other work procedures (type and expected life of bit, mud characteristics, bore control, etc.) and ensure their correct application. When deemed necessary, within the specified limits, adjust drilling parameters to improve drilling progress.
- Be well-informed about running and testing of the BOP and how to operate the diverter system.
- Carry out BOP tests and drills in accordance with authorities and client requirements.
- Assist rig down/rig up operations by performing, coordinating and controlling activities within own competencies.
- Be well informed of KPI objectives supplied by the Client and organize drilling equipment and drill floor crew activities to optimize performance.
- Recognize and prevent possible stuck pipe situations according to drilling parameters.
- Hold a valid IWCF Well Control Certificate.
- Minimum 3–5 years offshore drilling experience.
- At least 1–2 years’ experience as a Driller, preferably on a drillship or deepwater floating unit.
- English language skills required.
