Jeppe High School for Girls is an English medium monastic school situated in Kensington, Johannesburg. Jeppe Girls seeks the services of a full‑time piano and violin teacher with a passion for music education to work under the auspices of our Music department.

• The teaching of individual piano and violin lessons
• The teaching of theory and/or General Music Knowledge group classes
• Keeping students excited and motivated to learn, practise and achieve their full potential
• All general administrative tasks as per school requirements
• Be involved in the Music department extra‑mural program (Marimba group, Choir accompaniment and rehearsal pianist, playing piano at school assemblies etc.)
• Preparing students for concerts, examinations and performances
• Sound musical knowledge of tutor books, repertoire and teaching methods for piano and violin
• Understanding of teaching students with different styles of learning and from a variety of backgrounds
• Well‑developed communication, planning and organisational skills
• PGCE and a SACE number would be an advantage
