Reporting to the Education Programme Lead, the Education Programme Facilitator will design, deliver, and coordinate inspiring educational initiatives at the heart of Artist Proof Studio’s social purpose.
Specialising in teaching drawing to students from 1st through 5th year, the role is responsible to facilitate engaging workshops, lectures, and hands‑on activities, offering empathetic support that meets each learner’s needs.
This role is pivotal in helping students unlock their artistic talents, develop self‑sufficiency, and empower themselves to overcome challenge, making a genuine difference in their lives and futures.
Qualifications And RequirementsEducation and Experience
- A visual arts qualification, preferably at a masters level.
- Printmaking and teaching drawing experience.
- A relevant qualification in art education and /or education (PGCE).
- 5 years teaching or facilitation experience in an art education or training environment, preferably in a not-for-profit or community programme at tertiary level.
- Proven ability to develop and implement art curricula and lesson plans for adults.
- Experience in classroom management and art materials handling.
- Evidence of being an active artist in the industry.
- Knowledge in art education and training theory, and /or adult educational and learning design principles, Curriculum development and design principles.
- Strong artistic and technical drawing skills in relevant mediums.
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire students. Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong digital skills in MS Office, Photoshop, In Design or compatible.
- Passionate about arts education and committed to nurturing creative talent.
- Sensitivity and empathy for students from under resourced communities and contexts.
- Collaborative team player, willing to contribute to the broader mission of the organisation.
