Design Draughtsman

Requirements:

• Experience:
  
  5 to 15 years.
• Qualifications:
  
  Relevant draughting qualification advantageous.
• Professional Registrations:
  Not required.
• Software:
  Microsoft Office (proficient)(excel, word, outlook), Nesting Software (any but not critical), any 3D design package (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred).
• Proficient in both English and Afrikaans. (Crucial)
• Notice period:
  Not more than 1 month.

Responsibilities:

• Reports to engineering manager.
• Product development and design.
• Take on complete projects from start to finish including special projects.
• Load distributions and general arrangement drawings.
• Assist in implementing drawing standards/processes/documentation etc.
• Maintain products/databases/standards/administration etc.
• Assist production and repair departments as needed.
• Create nestings for plasma from time to time.
• Assist with day-to-day requirements.
• Data capturing and filing.
• Bills of materials.
• Proper planning and time management. The successful candidate will be expected to function successfully on their own and must be a quick learner.
• Maintain good interdepartmental communications and relations.
• Other responsibilities may be added.

• Proficient in MS Office and CAD software.

Candidates may need to do a test on AutoCAD and Inventor if they have experience on it.
