**** Job Purpose
** This role combines traditional communications copywriting with foundational UI/ UX responsibilities. The incumbent will produce clear, compelling, and brand aligned copy for customer transactional communication, websites, apps, and digital interfaces. They will maintain consistency in tone and style, optimise content for user experience, and work closely with design and product teams to  deliver intuitive, engaging digital experiences. The role also involves conceptualising ideas across multiple brands and translating messaging into impactful long- and short-form content for various channels.
** Responsibilities
* * Content Creation  Develop creative and persuasive copy for marketing, brand, and corporate communications across multiple channels. Write clear, concise, and user-focused copy for digital interfaces, including buttons, menus, error messages, onboarding flows, and micro copy. Translate concepts and messaging into long- and short-form copy aligned with organisational style guidelines. Ensure copy enhances usability and accessibility while maintaining brand voice. Ensure customer communication messages are consistent across all mediums.
Project Management  Assist in managing content-related tasks within project timelines. Maintain copy decks and documentation for consistency and version control.
Continuous Improvement  Review and refine existing content for clarity, tone, and user experience improvements.  Stay updated on digital best practices, UX trends, and accessibility standards.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement  Work closely with designers, product owners, and developers to ensure copy supports user journeys and design objectives. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to UX content strategy discussions.  Brief external stakeholders (e.g. agencies) when required and maintain strong  internal stakeholder relationships.
Operational Compliance  Develop knowledge and understanding of the organisation's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorisation from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
Personal Capability Building  Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Performance Management  Prioritise own workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality and timeliness; use performance management systems to improve personal performance.
** Education
* * Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential); A relevant diploma/degree in Communications/Language, Copywriting or related field (Essential). Knowledge of web trends and technologies (Advantageous).
** Experience
* * 2 years' experience in communications copywriting (Essential); 2 years' experience in UI/UX copywriting or digital content creation (Essential);
