Minimum requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) is required
- Culinary diploma, certificate, or formal qualification in Pastry & Confectionery
- Advanced pastry, baking, or patisserie training preferred
- Plan and manage daily pastry production
- Menu development
- Decorate and present desserts to the highest visual and taste standards
- Oversee portion control, recipe costing, and yield management to minimise waste
- Order, receive, and manage pastry ingredients and supplies
- Maintain strict adherence to halaal certification requirements
- Train, supervise, and mentor junior pastry staff
- Operate and maintain pastry equipment
