Hire Resolve, a well-established recruitment agency, is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their client’s team in Johannesburg. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing costs and ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, and providing contractual advice. You will collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
Compilation of tender documentationPrepare and settle final accounts.Carry out estimating function in multi-disciplinary engineering & built environment projects.Measuring and compiling of bills of quantities for tender purposes.Understanding and experience in compilation and management of standard construction & engineering contractsCompilation and negotiation of contractsPerform on/off site re-measurement, assessments and agree variations.Manage a number of projects and different team members concurrently.Undertaking client facing interactions.Requirements:
A relevant technical qualification and be registered as a quantity surveyor with a minimum of 8 years’ experience.Experience in Built environment projectsExperience on an engineering construction siteAn above average understanding of contract management and knowledge of various standard forms of contract in construction & engineeringWilling to work on project sitesStrong problem-solving skills including excellent and proven client engagement abilityStrong analytical skillsCommercial astutenessExperience with contractual claimsMentoring and development of young talentPrevious experience working in WinQS and DimXAbility to TravelFull Time
