Overview

Our esteemed client, a prominent construction firm based in Johannesburg, is in search of a Construction Manager specializing in Road Rehabilitation & Surfacing endeavours.

The selected Construction Manager will assume the pivotal role of planning, coordinating, and supervising the advancement of road rehabilitation and surfacing projects, ensuring their efficient execution within predefined timelines and budgetary constraints. Collaborating closely with the project team, you will guarantee the adherence to stringent quality benchmarks, timely project completion, and financial prudence.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the entirety of road rehabilitation and surfacing projects, from initiation to culmination.

Formulate comprehensive project plans, schedules, and financial frameworks.

Facilitate the procurement of requisite resources, equipment, and materials essential for project execution.

Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and adherence to established quality benchmarks.

Monitor project advancement diligently, promptly addressing any impediments or setbacks.

Foster effective collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.

Compile detailed reports and documentation for project updates and evaluation purposes.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSc / BEng / BTech / ND) mandatory.

A minimum of 8 years of proven experience as a Construction Manager, with a specific focus on road rehabilitation and surfacing projects.

Robust understanding of road construction methodologies, materials, and machinery.

Proficiency in project management methodologies, coupled with exemplary organizational prowess.

Demonstrated capacity to perform effectively under tight deadlines and high-pressure scenarios.

Exceptional communication and leadership acumen.

Proficient in project management software applications and Microsoft Office suite.

Preference will be given to candidates possessing a degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplines.
