Position: CPM PMO Specialist (Fixed Term Contract)

Please note that this is a fixed term contract role.

You will provide specialist support in coordinating CPM programme of work, formalised through program deployment plans, tracking and management routines.

Responsibilities

General

  • Coordinate planning and tracking processes for assigned area, collaborating with the team to identify demand requirements, scope of work, time frames and any specialist requirements.
  • Provide specialist support with capacity requirements, gap analysis work, scenario modelling and scheduling of work.
  • Facilitate management routines associated with the assigned area, including scheduling, agenda management, preparation of minutes and tracking of actions.
  • Provide specialist input and customer insights for commercial planning in all global management routines.
  • Provide the local team with visibility to metrics and performance; highlight non-conformance or sub-optimal performance against targets.
  • Support the Global PMO as required, enabling an agile approach to the management of PMO resources.

Commercial Value Delivery

  • Support planning activities, target setting, progress tracking and leadership management routines.
  • Support CPM budget controls and reporting, liaising with SC performance management area as well as Finance to ensure proper budget cycle routines and budget execution is within approved limits
  • Support deployment of CPM Value Proposition and Delivery Strategy through the application of CPM principles to service contracts

PMO Excellence

  • Provide specialist support for defining new ways of working, enabling systems, tools and templates and advanced analytics to build a world class PMO capability.
  • Partner with the Data & Reporting team to enhance reports and dashboards which enable delivery of commercial planning and PMO activities.
  • Collaborate with Digitalisation team to identify and implement digital and analytics capabilities to improve and enhance PMO processes, planning routines and reporting.
  • Conduct broad scanning activities to keep up to date with innovative approaches and opportunities.
  • Conduct data analysis and benchmarking for continuous improvement.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance to internal Anglo American and Supply Chain Governance requirements for all team members and pertaining to all relevant activities
  • Ensure compliance to applicable legislative requirements pertaining to relevant activities
  • Regular, timeous and accurate reporting pertaining to all relevant activities.
Qualifications
  • An undergraduate qualification - Bachelor degree level or equivalent, alternatively relevant tertiary qualification and proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity

    Experience:
  • Desirable: A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity
