• Matric Certificate
• NQF Level 7 - Degree
• Advance Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate
• 2-5 years experience in a Market Researcher position

• Interprets market and customer trends and makes recommendations based on the findings, proposing possible business opportunities or marketing strategies that will improve the position and profitability of the organisation.
• Economic Research — Work with existing systems and protocols to carry out designated economic research activities, either to support others or to deliver prescribed outcomes for part of a research program.
• Customer Needs/Experience Research — Complete research and analyze data to develop and/or support a sound understanding of customer segments, trends, needs, and expectations.
• Marketing Impact Assessment — Support the collection of data and participate in reviews of marketing activities to identify opportunities for improvements.
• Information and Business Advice — Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.
• Data Collection and Analysis — Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
• Insights and Reporting — Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports.
• Data Management — Help others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice.
• Personal Capability Building — Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
