Document Management & Production

Dictaphone and copy-typing of a wide range of legal documents

Typing, formatting and collating notices and pleadings

Incorporating amendments to documents and verifying accuracy

Preparing resource, counsel and client files

Practice Management & Administration

Diary management and coordination of appointments

Managing telephone calls and tracking messages

General office and personal administration support

Strong organizational oversight of professional practices

Financial Administration

Preparing pre-bills and billing memos for client submission

Managing debtors and liaising with accounts department on debt collection

FICA administration and compliance follow-up

Stakeholder Liaison

Communication with clients, counsel, presiding officers, experts and service providers as instructed

Building and maintaining excellent client relationships

Requirements

Essential:

7-10 years' experience as a legal secretary

Matric certificate

Excellent proficiency in MS Word and Excel

Knowledge of Aderant Expert (CMS) accounting system

Knowledge of iManage document management system

Advantageous:

Secretarial diploma / legal secretarial diploma / paralegal qualification

Knowledge of Standard Bank My Roof
