FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT (M/F)
This professional will be based in Gauteng (Johannesburg).
On a typical day you will:- Involved in daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in the preparations of financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Complete month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Coordinate and assist with audits (internal and external) and implement recommendations for process improvements.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within the accounting function.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance related qualifications, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, HFM and Power BI).
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large data sets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.

- Strategic Thinking – Understand the bigger picture and align accounting practices with business objectives.
- Adaptability – Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and managing change effectively.
