We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Odoo Bookkeeper to join our accounting and auditing firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records using Odoo Accounting
, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the firms accountants and auditors with timely and accurate financial data across multiple client portfolios.
Maintain full and accurate bookkeeping records using Odoo Accounting
Process and reconcile bank transactions, cashbooks, and credit cards
Capture and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare and issue customer invoices, statements, and follow up on outstanding balances
Reconcile supplier accounts and manage payment schedules
Perform monthly reconciliations (bank, creditors, debtors, VAT/control accounts)
Assist with VAT calculations, submissions, and supporting schedules
Maintain general ledger accuracy and journal entries
Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting documentation
Assist with audit preparation, including schedules and working papers
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
Liaise with clients to resolve queries and obtain supporting documentation
Support year-end processes and handover to accountants and auditors
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper within an accounting or auditing firm
Strong working knowledge of Odoo Accounting
Solid understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
Experience managing multiple clients and deadlines
Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Relevant accounting qualification (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree)
Professional membership (advantageous but not essential)
Experience with VAT, PAYE, and statutory compliance (advantageous)
