Implements, tests, and operates advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture. Performs on-going security testing and code review to improve software security. Troubleshoots and debugs issues that arise. Provides engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities. Contributes to all levels of the architecture and maintains technical documentation. Consults team members on secure coding practices.
Develops a familiarity with new tools and best practices.
- Experience developing applications and utilities using high-level languages such as C++ and Python.
- Experience with Linux and shell scripting (e.g., bash, Perl, Ruby).
- Experience building SQL databases and developing queries.
- Experience maintaining software development tools such as Jenkins, Git/Gerrit, Cpp Unit, and RPM
- Active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required with twenty (20) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and, complexity. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
