To perform service, including preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment on equipment at assigned Hiab locations in line with managers’ instructions. Responsible for contributing to productive customer relationships and following best practices in all administrative and technical activities.
Main tasks and responsibilities- Technical and Product Knowledge
- Staying up to date with technical developments via internal service bulletins and courses as instructed by the District Service Manager
- Staying up to date with technical specifications of relevant equipment
- Managing the Customer
- Respond to customers as instructed by the District Service Manager to maximize customer satisfaction
- Follow Hiab Customer Satisfaction Guidelines
- Risk Management
- Protect self and others; follow safety rules, working practices and environmental requirements
- Alert District Service Manager if equipment safety is jeopardized for any reason
- Respect and protect Hiab and third-party property and business activities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, report, plan and conduct service or repair as instructed by the District Service Manager
- Submit regular reports in the format specified by the District Service Manager
- Keep records and maintain documentation in line with agreed standards
- Plan and manage time and resources for maximum benefit to Hiab and the customer
- Make cost-effective and efficient judgments for service delivery
- Maintain documentation to ensure accurate invoicing
- Manage and protect the security and traceability of spare parts
- Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to the District Service Manager
- Provide feedback to the District Service Manager to support continuous quality improvement
- Suggest improvements to enhance service efficiency
- Coach/tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary
- Conduct yourself in a way that promotes a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow Quality System rules
- Other duties as assigned
Ability to perform assigned duties in a safe, compliant, and professional manner and to contribute to Hiab’s service quality and customer satisfaction.
