Software Development Senior Specialist

The Senior Software Engineer will support the development and maintenance of FIS Profile Deposit Applications (DDA).

This role requires expertise in legacy Profile versions (6.2 and AMR
99) and PFW (Profile for Windows), utilizing MUMPS and Power Builder.

The engineer will work on highly customized application instances that have been developed over the past 25 years for EMEA and AD branches.

Responsibilities include feature development, bug resolution, technical support, and participation in upgrade and enhancement initiatives.

• Design, code, test, and maintain the FIS Profile application to meet business requirements.
• Develop new features, resolve defects, and collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders.
• Provide technical support for all Profile environments including Development, QA, Release, and Production.
• Develop and update Profile v6.2/AMR
  99 and PFW code to support enhancements and functional requests across 12 customized EMEA/AD instances.
• Document all code changes and perform unit testing prior to QA and Release team handoff.
• Conduct code reviews for development and modifications completed by team members.
• Review vendor-delivered fixes or enhancements from FIS to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
• Support maintenance and archiving of Profile application databases and data.
• Assist with production support activities, including investigating issues with data flows between Profile and other systems.
• Support major initiatives such as:
• Profile Upgrade/Replacement (Assessment/Discovery and Implementation)
• ACH Back Office
• New Cash Management System enhancements for Profile/Deposit interfaces
• Electronic statement implementation
• Audit-driven interface control and reconciliation improvements
• Lead Profile Upgrade Assessment activities by analyzing the highly customized Profile DDA v6.2, AMR
  99, and PFW codebase.
• Conduct design workshops involving all applications related to Profile enhancements.
• Support additional assigned projects involving testing, implementation, and production support.
• Work both independently and collaboratively with internal teams.
• Communicate clearly and effectively.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience with MUMPS, PSL (Profile Scripting Language), and Power Builder.
• At least 5+ years of experience with development frameworks and tools such as Urban Code, Perforce, and Service Now.
• 5+ years of experience supporting all Profile environments including Development, QA, Release, and Production.
• 5+ years of experience enhancing and maintaining Profile v6.2/AMR
  99 versions and PFW code across multiple customized instances.
• Experience documenting code changes and performing unit testing.
• 5+ years of experience conducting code reviews.
• Experience reviewing vendor-delivered software for quality and coding standards.
• 5+ years of experience maintaining Profile application databases and data.
• 5+ years of experience supporting production environments, including issue investigation for integrated systems.
• Experience supporting initiatives related to Profile upgrades, cash management, ACH, reconciliations, interface enhancements, and market reference data.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
