As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank's Securitized Products Tech Mortgage Analytics division, your role will be pivotal in an agile team. You will be tasked with the development, enhancement, and delivery of high-quality technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a significant technical contributor, your responsibilities will encompass the creation of essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains within various business functions, all of which are aimed at supporting the company's business objectives.
Jobresponsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
- Formal training or certification on software engineering
* concepts and 5+ years applied experience - Proven experience in developing and managing ETL pipelines for large datasets.
- Experience with AWS Glue Data Catalog and AWS Lake Formation
- Ability to multitask, works well under pressure, self-starter, quick learner, team player and ability to manage time appropriately. Detail oriented, strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Experience with data warehouse applications.
- AWS Glue, AWS Lake Formation, Amazon S3 and related data processing tool.
- Terraform development and knowledge of Infrastructure as Code.
- Database programming knowledge using Oracle PL-SQL / SQL Server T-SQL.
- Basics of database model design – normalization, indexing, data definition etc.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
- Experience with financial systems. Mortgage domain experience a plus.
- Hands on working knowledge of object oriented programming and development practices using .Net / Python / Java platform is a plus.
