As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan

responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Be a hands‑on coding tech lead capable of developing secure and high‑quality production code, performs reviews, and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a function‑wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision‑makers to consider the use and application of leading‑edge technologies
- Adds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 7+ years applied experience
- Hands‑on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced knowledge in Java and Spring Boot
- Advanced knowledge in relational databases
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in‑depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Ability to collaborate with diverse technical, cross‑functional, product development, and operations teams to develop comprehensive project timelines
- 10+ years of experience in Java Development
- Strong knowledge of financial industry concepts, with particular emphasis on trade processing and settlement operations
- Practical experience with database technologies such as DB2, Oracle, and Mongo
DB. - Demonstrated experience in overseeing client‑facing applications and effectively managing stakeholder expectations and commitments
